UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the University Board of Directors (LPU), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Dato' Prof. Dr. Sudin Haron at Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia (Waqaf Malaysia Foundation).

This courtesy visit was intended to convey our sincere congratulations on his appointment as new Chairman of the University Board of Directors and also to enlighten him on matters concerning the recent progress of UUM.

Dato' Prof. Dr. Sudin, who is also the CEO of Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia, is a former Professor at UUM and was among the pioneers of this university.

He assumes the position as the new Chairman of the University Board of Directors with effect from 1 October 2018 till 30 September 2021, replacing Tan Sri Siti Sa’diah Sheikh Bakir.
