In a pioneering move toward enhancing global educational and entrepreneurial cooperation, the Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI) at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) recently engaged in a strategic online discussion with Sociopreneur Indonesia. This virtual meet-up, led by key CEDI officers and Dr. Dessy Aliandrina, founder and Executive Director of Sociopreneur Indonesia, centered on exploring collaborative opportunities and laying the groundwork for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
A highlight of the discussions was the potential launch of the 'Empathy Project,' a joint initiative aimed at nurturing empathy-driven entrepreneurship among students and young professionals in both countries. This project seeks to integrate empathetic practices into the core of business operations, fostering a generation of socially responsible entrepreneurs.
Additionally, the collaboration is set to include a 'Virtual Training the Trainers' program. This initiative will enable educators and business leaders from UUM and Sociopreneur Indonesia to exchange knowledge and best practices in entrepreneurial education, thereby enhancing the capabilities of trainers who are pivotal in shaping the entrepreneurial landscape.
These planned collaborations mark a significant step in CEDI UUM's efforts to expand its international reach and impact. The partnership with Sociopreneur Indonesia is poised to open new avenues for research, educational exchanges, and joint ventures that promote sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneurship.
Further discussions will continue to refine and finalize the details of the MoU, with both institutions expressing optimism about the positive outcomes this partnership will yield for the entrepreneurial communities in Malaysia and Indonesia.
